ON-SITE SUPPORT ENGINEER | Monterrey, Nuevo León An Information Technology specialized company is seeking an On-Site Support Engineer to join its Infrastructure and Technical Support team, providing on-site user assistance and ensuring operational continuity of technology services within the client’s facilities. JOB OBJECTIVE Provide specialized technical assistance and support to ensure continuous operation of technology services, as well as maintain IT infrastructure (equipment, networks, communications, and platforms) operational through efficient incident resolution, asset administration, and coordination with vendors, thereby contributing to business operational continuity. LOCATION - Monterrey, Nuevo León SCHEDULE Shifts: • 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM WE OFFER - Gross monthly salary: $28,000 – $33,000 (depending on experience) - Quarterly bonus: $3,000 - Gasoline allowance: $3,000 - Statutory benefits from day one - Continuous technical training - Opportunities for professional development within the infrastructure and support area REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor’s degree or Engineering in Systems, Computer Science, Communications, Networks, or related field (degree completed). - Minimum 2 years’ experience in infrastructure or on-site technical support. - Experience in technological infrastructure, networks, or communications. - Intermediate English (technical reading and basic communication). - Availability for on-site work at the client’s facility. - Availability for occasional travel. TECHNICAL SKILLS - Technical support for PCs, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices. - Basic Active Directory administration. - Knowledge of Windows 10 or later. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) support. - LAN/WAN network troubleshooting. - Basic configuration of switches, routers, and access points. - VPN configuration and maintenance. - Structured cabling knowledge. - Ticket management using ServiceNow or similar tools. - Configuration and maintenance of videoconferencing equipment. - Knowledge of virtual machines and Linux/Unix systems (preferred). - Experience in microwave links, telecommunications, or wireless networks (preferred). RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide on-site technical support to end users for hardware and software. - Address and resolve IT-related incidents and service requests. - Configure and maintain computing equipment, printers, telephony, and videoconferencing systems. - Support users on Microsoft 365 tools. - Log, classify, and track incidents using ticketing management tools. - Document incidents and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when required. - Manage IT asset inventory, including assignments, changes, and retirements. - Coordinate warranties, maintenance, and vendor support. Verify and maintain operational status of network infrastructure (switches, routers, and access points). - Keep LAN, WAN, and WLAN network diagrams up to date. - Monitor operation of technological infrastructure in offices and data centers. - Participate in infrastructure projects or technology enhancements assigned by the client.
