They are enhancing their relational database and Azure data platform through improved design, architecture, development, and the creation of new features. Position overview: We are looking for a Software Engineer, Database who will actively contribute to relational database development, Azure data pipelines, and the broader data platform. The role includes design, architecture, code review, feature enhancement, new feature creation within client's marketing and reporting platform, and supporting critical production issues. * Responsibilities: Work effectively with the team and product owners to define and clarify requirements, perform detailed analysis, and develop robust and maintainable solutions aligned with business needs. * Analyze, plan, develop, deploy, and manage large, scalable, distributed data systems. * Develop automated tests for unit, integration, regression, performance, and build verification. * Apply advanced principles of entity‑relationship model design, data typing, index management, data management, and data security. * Write reliable, maintainable code across all stages of product development. * Research and prototype new product and database features, design approaches, and architectural concepts ahead of mainstream development. * Proactively identify and contribute to system improvements and innovation. * Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving technical and performance issues in production environments. * Review designs, code, and test plans created by other developers, offering recommendations for optimization and improvement. * Develop and maintain microservices and stateless architectures. * Follow established software development lifecycle best practices. * Collaborate with management and stakeholders to define requirements and set priorities accurately. * Requirements: Understanding of the full data analytics stack and workflow from ETL to data platform design to BI and analytics tools. * Strong skills in databases and data processing. * Extensive hands‑on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics. * Experience developing solutions using Snowflake cloud data warehouses. * Intermediate\-level experience developing solutions using C\# / Python and REST APIs. * Experience developing relational and non‑relational data platforms / data pipelines using Azure cloud solutions. * Experience with at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.) for automating tasks such as monitoring, deployments, and testing. * Strong technical and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team with minimal supervision in a results‑oriented, fast‑paced environment. * Experience managing and developing SQL Server, BI Suite, and custom database tools using SQL Server Data Tools. * Experience with Git repositories. * Nice to have: Database architecture and design experience. * Travel industry experience or e‑commerce experience with CRM or online sales. * Snowflake experience (additional depth). * Experience delivering data migration projects.
