**General Purpose of the Position** The Bending Technician is responsible for operating bending equipment, including efficient startup, operation, and shutdown of machinery. The Senior Bending Technician serves as a technical reference and positively influences the performance of junior benders or assigned teams by providing training, guidance, and leadership support in daily activities. Additionally, it maintains the workplace under the 5S framework, ensuring proper handover of tasks between shifts. **Required Experience** * Prior experience in the same role or in operating bending equipment. * Proficiency with basic power tools (e.g., drill, nail gun, impact wrench, saw, screwdriver, etc.). * Understanding of basic to intermediate LEAN principles (5S, Kanban, one-piece flow, continuous improvement). * Proficiency with manual measuring instruments (tape measure, micrometer, caliper, protractor). **Responsibilities** * Comply with and promote safety standards, always wearing personal protective equipment. * Maintain and sustain 5S standards in the work area. * Perform die and tool changes on bending and CNC equipment. * Meet or exceed assigned daily production targets. * Restock supplies and consumables in the area. * Support other departments as needed, demonstrating teamwork and commitment. * Operate assigned equipment to maximize productivity and quality. * Execute workload in alignment with waste reduction objectives. * Uphold and ensure compliance with quality standards and processes. * Complete and approve daily and weekly primary maintenance checklists. * Contribute to sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact, resource consumption, and waste generation. * Participate in and propose process, method, or system improvements. * Train and guide junior benders. * Provide leadership in the absence of the Station Leader or Team Leader. * Understand, update, and communicate departmental metrics. * Document processes to capture knowledge and train new benders. * Participate in continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives. * Produce work to the highest quality standards and instruct others in correct practices.
