Currently, we are seeking a **Dimensional Engineer** to join a project with one of our automotive clients, focused on ensuring geometric quality and dimensional convergence of components. **Job Description** **Position Objective** Ensure correct geometric convergence of components through implementation of measurement strategies, tooling validation, and dimensional analysis, guaranteeing compliance with customer standards and final product quality. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Metrology and Measurement Management** * Define and implement measurement plans in accordance with EPM requirements. * Perform high-precision measurements using laboratory equipment: 3D scanning (photogrammetry/laser), calipers, gauges, and CMM data. * Manage geometric convergence (1D, 2D, and 3D synthesis) to resolve fit and finish issues between components. **2\. Tooling and Fixture Validation** * Oversee design, manufacturing, and validation of checking fixtures (control fixtures). * Execute commissioning and manage technical documentation, ensuring compliance with safety standards and R\&R (Repeatability \& Reproducibility). * Validate technical files and measurement scenarios for gauges provided by suppliers. **3\. Project Management and Reporting** * Prepare budget estimates (hours and costs) for fixtures and measurement activities. * Lead test preparation meetings and coordinate geometry-related activities between engineering and production. * Prepare comprehensive laboratory geometry reports for final customer approval. **Requirements** * **Education:** Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * **Experience:** + Minimum 3 years in dimensional inspection / geometry within the automotive industry (OEM or Tier 1\). * **Customer Knowledge:** + Mandatory proficiency in **Stellantis** standards (PCP, RCM, etc.). * **Technical Skills:** + Solid experience in GD\&T (Geometric Dimensioning \& Tolerancing). + Proficiency with metrology tools and 3D scanning software. + Analytical capability for tolerances and 1D/2D/3D convergence. + CAD viewer experience (CATIA, NX) is a plus. **Additional Information** **Project Conditions** * High-intensity project with an estimated duration of **2 to 3 months**. * Availability for **immediate onboarding**.
