**Plemsa** Plásticos Especializados de Monterrey **Laboratory Technician** **Position Objective:** Provide support and services in the analysis of raw materials and products of PLEMSA, ensure the proper condition and correct operation of laboratory equipment and facilities. **Requirements:** Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials, Industrial Engineering or related fields Bachelor's degree (Bachelor's in Industrial Chemistry/Chemical Engineer) **Knowledge** · Office \- Basic Chemistry · Metrology (calibration) · Physical testing methods for raw materials · Films (laboratory equipment). · English (Basic) **Functions** · 1\.\- Sampling, analysis, evaluation, preparation of reports and statistics of raw materials. · 2\.\- Define the inspection and testing status of incoming and in-process raw materials to ensure continuity of operational processes. · 3\.\- Characterization of properties and identification of materials present in physical structures of PLEMSA and/or competitor films, as a service to sales and projects. · 4\.\- Control of measurement and testing equipment to maintain calibration and maintenance status of laboratory equipment through internal and external services. · 5\.\- Ensure the proper condition and reliability of laboratory equipment by following up on verifications and maintenance programs. · 6\.\- Support the plant in verification and calibration of certain equipment used by plant operational areas, providing space for them to carry out their follow-up activities. · 7\.\- Prepare solutions to measure surface tension levels on external and plant-produced films, and ensure their availability and validity. · 8\.\- Request materials, solvents and reagents necessary for laboratory tests. · 9\.\- Request external laboratory services for evaluation of raw materials and/or films, as well as supplies. · 10\.\- Maintain control of glassware, blades and chemicals used in the laboratory. **Desired Experience / 1 year in a similar position** **We Offer** · Biweekly payment · Grocery vouchers · Savings fund · 30-day Christmas bonus · Uniforms · Growth opportunities Monterrey, Nuevo León Full-time, Permanent Job type: Full-time Salary: $15,000\.00 \- $16,000\.00 per month Benefits: * Savings box * Free parking * Free uniforms * Grocery vouchers Work location: On-site employment
