Develop quality documentation for new product launches. **Job Objective** Ensure compliance with product and process quality standards within operations by monitoring KPIs, analyzing failures, addressing nonconformities, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This position is critical to strengthening the Quality Management System, reducing internal and external defects, and promoting a culture focused on operational excellence. **Primary Responsibilities** * Monitor and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring achievement of established targets. * Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing scrap, rework, defects, and waste. * Analyze internal rejections, process deviations, and customer complaints to implement corrective and preventive actions. * Identify improvement opportunities through data analysis and ensure implementation of sustainable solutions. **Customer and Supplier Quality** * Manage and track customer complaints and claims, ensuring timely response and effective resolution. * Administer supplier nonconformance reports and coordinate corrective actions. * Collaborate with internal departments to prevent recurrence of quality issues. **Process Control and Quality System** * Review, update, and standardize process documentation, procedures, forms, work instructions, and control plans. * Conduct process audits and compliance verifications per internal and external standards. * Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System under ISO 9001\. **New Product Introduction** * Develop quality documentation for new product launches: inspection plans, procedures, and forms. * Perform validation and inspection of first production runs and new products. * Define and validate rework processes when necessary. **Operational Leadership** * Supervise and coordinate quality personnel (inspectors, auditors, laboratory or testing technicians). * Ensure proper execution of inspections, tests, and product release. * Support the production area in problem resolution and process optimization. **Technical Support and Resources** * Request materials, tools, and supplies required for quality activities. * Support laboratory, inspection, and measurement activities using appropriate equipment. *Requirements* **Education** * Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical Engineering or related field. **Experience** * Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles such as Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, or Process Quality. * **Experience in metal-mechanical industry, heavy manufacturing, steel, foundry, or related processes.** Technical Knowledge * Proficiency in quality tools: * 8D * Six Sigma * 5 Why’s * Root Cause Analysis * AMEF / PFMEA (desirable) * Knowledge of ISO 9001\ systems. * Interpretation of engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances. * Proficiency with measurement instruments: calipers, micrometers, durometers, and inspection equipment. * Software proficiency: * Minitab * Basic AutoCAD * Microsoft Office **Languages** * Intermediate conversational and written English. **Competencies** * Analytical thinking and data-driven approach. * Problem-solving ability. * Effective communication. * Leadership and team coordination. * Attention to detail. * Results-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
