Job Opening: General Accountant Location: Tampico, Tamaulipas Company Type: Local and international courier service Schedule: Full-time Modality: In-person Job Description: A logistics and courier company operating in various regions of northern Mexico is seeking a General Accountant with experience in accounting, tax, and operational management. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax obligations, controlling operational expenses by unit and region, and maintaining up-to-date financial and daily settlement information. Responsibilities: * Supervise and carry out the calculation and timely payment of IMSS and other tax obligations. * Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns. * Manage and administer payments for services such as insurance, electricity, water, stationery, and other operational expenses based on account statements. * Supervise and review data from the internal freight system, ensuring accurate entry and timely submission. * Keep account statements updated and perform daily reconciliation with the previous day’s delivery settlements. * Assist in financial planning and budget control by unit or region. * Coordinate with operational and administrative departments to ensure proper flow of financial information. * Issue invoices to bill customers. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting (licensed or near graduation). * Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in logistics, transportation, or service companies). * Up-to-date knowledge of IMSS, ISR, IVA, and other tax obligations. * Proficiency in accounting and administrative control systems. * Ability to reconcile accounts, review financial documentation, and manage operational expenses. * Capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
