Management of supplier catalog and purchase orders **Engineering and construction services company seeks to integrate the following role into its team:** ***Purchaser*** **Position Objective:** Procures materials, equipment, and services following quotation processes, utilizing assigned procurement department formats and tools to meet internal and external customer needs. **Functions and Responsibilities:** * Develop and maintain an updated supplier catalog * Request quotations from relevant suppliers; send requisitions to warehouse for inventory verification prior to quotation; prepare comparative analysis tables; obtain and finalize favorable commercial terms for the company, strictly adhering to specifications and requirements outlined in the Materials and Services Requisition form * Prepare purchase orders, including onboarding new suppliers or re-evaluating existing ones * Maintain daily organization and updating of all purchase order files—both electronic and physical—by project and in descending consecutive order * Request original invoices, quality certificates, and/or compliance certificates from each materials and services supplier for every purchase * Notify suppliers via email upon payment execution and upon issuance of the purchase order, and confirm email receipt via telephone follow-up * Maintain positive supplier relationships and track quotation requests, purchase orders, invoice requests, and quality/compliance certificate requests **Academic Qualifications:** Minimum high school diploma; university studies preferred but not mandatory, aligned with the assigned procurement area (civil, electrical\-telecommunications, mechanical, instrumentation, general services and materials) **Work Experience:** 2 years in a similar position, aligned with the assigned procurement area **Specific Knowledge:** * Materials, tools, and supplies related to mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation fields (mandatory) * Valid driver's license (preferred but not mandatory) **Skills and Competencies:** * Strong verbal communication * Strong negotiation and persuasion skills * Assertive communication Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $10,000\.00 \- $15,000\.00 per month Benefits: * Complimentary uniforms Experience: * Industrial Engineering field: 1 year (Mandatory) Willingness to Travel: * 25% (Preferred) Work Location: On-site employment
