




Position Summary: Security Manager responsible for safeguarding UNITEC’s assets and the physical integrity of the UNITEC community by applying procedures to reduce risks and control assets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage security to prevent and reduce risks on campus. 2. Implement and maintain the Civil Protection Program on campus. 3. Train security personnel and prepare incident reports. About the Role SECURITY MANAGER Safeguard the institution’s assets and the physical integrity of the UNITEC community by applying and verifying compliance with established procedures and controls—contributing to accident prevention and reduction, as well as inventory and asset control. Your Key Challenges • Manage processes with external security personnel to ensure appropriate mechanisms and guidelines are applied to prevent and reduce risks, guaranteeing a secure environment and optimal campus operations for the UNITEC community. • Implement action plans aimed at correcting opportunities and anomalies identified during campus reviews regarding the application of security-related policies and procedures within university facilities, as defined institutionally. • Implement and keep updated the Civil Protection Program on campus, adhering to established guidelines, standards, and policies, while coordinating training plans for emergency response teams and the broader UNITEC community. • Timely detect losses caused by theft, improper administrative control handling, and/or accidents and incidents—as well as operational expenses and opportunities on campus—through analysis of system-generated reports and verification of procedure and control implementation. • Train external security personnel to support adherence to the UNITEC philosophy, as well as the institution’s general, operational, and programmatic guidelines. • Prepare reports and/or incident reports, audits, and inspections conducted by governmental and institutional entities regarding campus security and civil protection, and follow up on recommendations or observations issued by these entities.
