Job Description The School Nurse is responsible for providing medical and health care to students and school staff, promoting a safe and healthy learning environment. Responsibilities - Provide medical care and first aid to students and school staff. - Assess student health and wellness and identify medical care needs. - Develop and implement health and wellness programs for students and school staff. - Collaborate with school staff to identify and address health and wellness needs. - Maintain accurate records of medical and health care provided to students. Requirements - Valid nursing license in the state or country where the school is located. - Prior nursing experience, preferably in a school or pediatric setting. - Ability to communicate effectively with students, school staff, and parents/guardians. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with other health and education professionals. Competencies - Ability to provide accurate and detailed medical and health care. - Ability to communicate effectively with students, school staff, and parents/guardians. - Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion toward students and school staff. - Ability to adapt to changing and prioritized situations.
