Automation of operational processes through scripting Job Title: Senior Linux Systems Administrator Location: Polanco (4 days onsite + 1 day remote) Job Description: We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator with solid experience in GNU/Linux environments, focused on managing, maintaining, and optimizing technological infrastructure—both on-premise and in the cloud. This position reports directly to the Head of Infrastructure Operations and requires a technically proficient, autonomous profile with strong problem-solving capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Administration and maintenance of Linux systems in production environments. Management of infrastructure in on-premise and cloud environments. Diagnosis and resolution of system-level and connectivity incidents. Automation of operational processes through scripting. Support for virtualized and containerized environments. Collaboration in continuous infrastructure improvements. Technical Requirements: Operating Systems: Minimum 5 years of experience with Linux. Knowledge of distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu. Focus on GNU/Linux environments (not Microsoft technologies). Infrastructure: Experience administering systems in both on-premise and cloud environments. Networking (diagnostic level): Ability to identify connectivity issues. Knowledge of routing, subnet masks, and general troubleshooting. Virtualization: Experience with hypervisors (VMware, KVM, or others). Understanding of resource allocation and infrastructure virtualization. Containers: Knowledge of container technologies (desirable). Automation: Experience with tools such as Ansible. Desirable knowledge of Terraform. Scripting in Shell and/or Python. Proactive approach to automating operational processes. Databases: Knowledge of MongoDB (basic-to-intermediate level, not DBA). Desired Profile: Strong foundation as a Linux Systems Administrator. Ability to learn quickly. Practical, results-oriented mindset.
