ATCS engineers in the field and in product development work closely with our customers to understand their technology needs now and in the future. ### **Responsibilities** Responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling automation solutions in manufacturing processes—focused on harness assembly and wiring. Manages automation architecture and leads the selection and integration of technologies (PLC, robotics, machine vision, and motion control). Defines and executes the site’s automation strategy, including platform standardization, equipment validation (FAT/SAT), and solution replication. Ensures execution through structured methodologies (APQP, Lean, Six Sigma) and compliance with quality, safety, and process standards. Drives continuous improvement through KPI analysis (OEE, cycle times, FPY), reducing variability, waste, and labor dependency. **Responsibilities:** * Lead automation projects aligned with volume, quality, cost, and workforce strategy. * Manage the automation portfolio (prioritization, ROI, and resources). * Align technical standards with the global team (controls, vision, and safety). * Execute projects from concept through validation and ramp\-up (FAT/SAT). * Ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and performance targets. * Ensure structured handover to Operations (documentation, training, and maintenance). * Implement automation in cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, electrical testing, and assembly processes, among others. * Deploy vision, electrical testing, traceability, and packaging solutions. * Reduce defects and variability jointly with Quality and Operations. * Replicate standardized solutions (“copy exact”). * Maintain technical documentation standards. * Collaborate with all support departments (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, SC, EHS, Finance, IT). * Support NPI with automation\-focused designs. * Report progress, risks, and ROI to management. ### **Requirements** * Engineering degree (Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field). * \+3 years in industrial automation (preferably in wiring/electromechanical assembly). * Experience leading projects with suppliers. * Knowledge of PLC/HMI/SCADA, robotics, machine vision, and equipment validation. * Experience in FAT/SAT and technical documentation. * Troubleshooting skills for automated equipment. * Experience in high\-speed manufacturing environments. * Preferred: PFMEA, DFM, DFA. * Intermediate\-advanced English (preferred). * Analytical thinking, problem solving, and teamwork.
