Req ID: 76889 **Description** --------------- Job Objective: Responsible for developing, evaluating and analyzing the behavior of various processes in order to optimize Quality, Cost, productivity & Efficiency metrics. (Process Engineer expert in charge of develop, evaluate & analyze the behavior of a process in order to improve process efficiency, productivity, Quality & reduce cost). Execution of experimental and validation activities required for the development of new manufacturing processes and equipment and/or significant improvement of existing ones for high-volume production of new products, typically associated with the use, development and/or transfer of semiconductor device packaging technologies. **Responsibilities** -------------------- Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Develops work procedures, defines equipment operating parameters, develops process specifications. 2. Leads implementation of improvements in Quality, Productivity, Cost & Efficiency. 3. Evaluates new consumables, tools or machinery through TRB. 4. Improves operational Quality levels using system improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, EA, 8D, 3P, TQM, etc. 5. Leads root cause investigations and responses to customer complaints. 6. Executes New Product Introduction into the production line by verifying all required documentation, including PROMIS, SAP, production database, MRR. 7. Implements, monitors and generates action plans for control systems – SPC. 8. Leads disposition of problem lots – NCMR via a database located in the QSI system. 9. Analyzes input and output variable behavior of new processes and/or products and adopts necessary measures to meet established requirements for transferring and implementing new manufacturing technologies in high-volume production. 10. Assumes specific assignments to develop continuous improvement programs, cost reduction initiatives and/or evaluation of new equipment in support of organizational objectives. 11. Applies statistical analysis methods, design of experiments, measurement system analysis and similar techniques in daily activities. **Required Experience and Skills** ---------------------------------- Experience: A) Basic knowledge of statistical tools and SPC. Analysis of reproducibility & repeatability (GR&R), process capability. A) Basic knowledge of JMP, Minitab. B) Knowledge of applied statistics, Six Sigma Green Belt. C) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. D) System improvement methodologies, 8D problem-solving. E) Knowledge of equipment operation in the area: Sawing, Back grinding, laser Dicing, Laser Groove, T&R (desirable).
