Estimates production times and manufacturing program requirements. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements. Reports to the Plant Manager or General Manager. **Job Profile** * Professional degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering * Language: English 90% * Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position * Experience in the manufacturing and assembly of components with tight tolerance requirements * Expertise in mechanical tolerances * Problem\-solving skills * Data analysis skills in processes and product issues * Six Sigma skills * Experience in electronics manufacturing engineering * Leadership skills * Visa * Willingness to travel **Main Responsibilities** * Responsible for the direction and management of the manufacturing engineering team. * Lead the Engineering departments. * Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing support, such as equipment utilization, waste reduction, process control, commissioning and training processes, customer corrective actions, etc. * Support the Production departments in executing the manufacturing plan to achieve sales goals. * Utilize a combination of technical and project management skills to help direct capital investment and manage process improvements at the Mexicali facility. * Develop and lead manufacturing technology advancement projects for cost reduction and quality improvement with specific focus on process improvement and automation efficiency. * Participate in the product development process to evaluate process paths and design for manufacturability. * Assist in the development and implementation of visual factory tools and monitor their effectiveness. * Oversight over the development and maintenance of standard work instructions as a continuous training tool. * Extensive personal involvement in guiding root cause analysis and solution development/implementation. * Responsible for managing and executing the plants Capital Improvement budget. * Responsible for managing and executing the plants Cost Reduction Productivity Improvement plan. * Provides support for ramp\-up operations.
