The Quality Engineer III provides investigation and root cause analysis of product failures, working cross-functionally to improve product quality and reliability.

**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Quality Engineer III is responsible for providing investigation and root cause analysis of product failures. Works closely with various Engineering functions (Reliability, Design, Manufacturing, etc) in a closed\-loop, corrective\-action process to improve product quality and reliability performance
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Responsible for working with cross\-functional groups to coordinate strategies for meeting customer’s requirements in all quality areas that also serve AE’s business needs.
* Failure Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive action due customer (internal\-external) complaints.
* Define, design, develop and Implement SPC tools for assembly tools, manufacturing, and test fixtures.
* Establish, implement, and maintain the quality management system.
* Interact with Engineering and Operations to ensure an appropriate transfer of new products, PPAP.
* Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions.
* Participates in Design Reviews to ensure compliance with reliability standards and customer requirements.
* Review Engineering Change Requests for customer approval requirements and submission.
* Perform weekly, monthly trend analysis and coordinate corrective actions with involved areas.
* Defines SPC to manufacturing processes and monitor weekly and monthly performance, implement countermeasure.
* Interact constantly with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Materials, Support Areas to ensure robust processes using PPAP, SPC and LEAN tools.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Proficient knowledge and troubleshooting skills in electronic circuits, components, PCBs, and manufacturing processes
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
* Familiar with diagnostic equipment (SEM, EDX, X\-ray analysis, scopes, etc), statistical yield analysis, physical failure, and root\-cause analysis
* Measurable and extensive experience with influencing and negotiating in complex situations.
* Able to define process criteria to meet product and process requirements.
* Fluent English
* LEAN Manufacturing tools
* Excellent computer skills (Statistical Software, Office –Excel\-,etc)

* Requires minimum 3\-4 year degree in a relevant Engineering discipline

**Essential**
* Experience in Electronics Industry Preferable
* Experience in Automotive Industry and/or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Preferable
**EDUCATION:**
* Bachelor degree (Manufacturing, Electronic Engineering)
* Six Sigma Certification preferable

* Typically requires a minimum of 7 years engineering experience
