Summary: Responsible for leading foreign trade operations, ensuring timely supply and compliance with customs laws in Mexico and the U.S. through process establishment and regulatory oversight. Highlights: 1. Lead and oversee foreign trade operations for timely supply and compliance. 2. Ensure adherence to Mexico and U.S. customs laws and regulations. 3. Manage customs brokers, logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives. Description and details of responsibilities Responsible for leading and overseeing foreign trade operations to ensure the timely supply of raw materials, indirect materials, supplies, and fixed assets, as well as the return or export of finished goods and unused materials. Ensures all transactions comply with current customs laws and regulations in Mexico and the United States through documentary review, electronic data transmission, and regulatory compliance. * Establish processes and procedures ensuring compliance with Mexican and U.S. customs regulations * Oversee daily import/export operations and validate invoices and documentation * Manage customs brokers and logistics providers * Ensure compliance with Foreign Trade and Customs Laws, trade agreements, and certification programs * Supervise foreign trade inventory control systems (Annex 24 & 30) and reconciliations * Prepare regulatory and annual reports for authorities * Manage certificates of origin and preferential tariff programs * Resolve customs issues and ensure shipment releases * Maintain communication with brokers and authorities in Mexico and the U.S. * Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize time and costs * Perform tariff classification of materials, finished goods, and equipment * Ensure documentation retention and compliance * Support audits and government requests Experience and requirements Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics or related field. * 5+ years of experience in import/export operations * Experience with Mexico-U.S. customs regulations * Experience managing customs brokers and ensuring regulatory compliance * Experience with IMMEX/Annex 24 and 30 inventories * Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) **Competencies**: * Leadership and team management * Planning and organization * Project management * Analytical thinking and problem-solving * Effective cross-functional communication * Results-oriented and committed to continuous improvement * Advanced English * Intermediate/advanced Excel * ERP/SAP * Document control and foreign trade systems Benefits * Benefits in accordance with the Federal Labor Law (LFT) * Savings fund * Life insurance * Major medical expenses insurance * Minor medical expenses insurance **Number of vacancies** 1 **Department** Import and Export **Contract type** Permanent **Work modality** On-site **Shift** Day shift **Working hours** Full-time **Schedule** Full-time * Monday to Friday **Education** Bachelor’s degree with professional title **English** Spoken: Advanced, Written: Advanced **Age** 18 - 65 years **Willingness to travel** No
