Job Summary: A recognized multinational company in the plastic packaging manufacturing sector is looking for a **Safety and Hygiene Coordinator** Job Responsibilities: **Main Responsibilities:** * Know, understand, and comply with the company's policies and objectives regarding Safety, Occupational Health, Environment, Quality, and Food Safety, as established by the company and required by government entities. * Recommend actions and solutions for tool, machinery, equipment, and facility conditions, as well as unsafe acts, in coordination with area supervisors, technicians, operators, administrative staff, contractors, suppliers, transporters, and subcontracted personnel. * Monitor compliance with the company's safety and environmental protection rules, lead safety and environmental processes, and participate in the company's social responsibility initiatives. * Record accidents and incidents in the Inciden Report program. * Handle all local, federal, corporate, and customer audits and inspections related to safety, environment, and hygiene. * Deliver safety training to personnel. * Coordinate and follow up on meetings and walkthroughs for the Safety and Hygiene Committee, plant inspections according to established programs for identifying unsafe acts and conditions. * Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, near misses, and first aid cases; support the development of corrective actions; generate derived reports; investigate, report, and record incidents involving contractor personnel. * Comply with occupational safety and health regulations (STPS - IMSS) and environmental regulations (Semartat – PROFEPA). * Generate purchase orders in the SAP system and prepare studies requested from authorities. * Follow up on internal and external audits (FSSC22000, GOS). * Manage a private clinic providing care to employees in case of accidents or medical conditions. * Schedule employee medical tests such as audiometry, perimetry, and visual acuity tests. * Coordinate various studies required by STPS under different regulations, including noise, grounding, pressure vessels, dust, lighting, and any others mandated by STPS. * Prepare the annual budget for upcoming expenses, including training, fire extinguishers, studies, medications, clinic operations, and others. * Computer knowledge to assist corporate in repair and/or maintenance of computer equipment. * Manage STPS Safe Company program, updating folders referencing all applicable regulations.
