




***Position Objective:*** The Molding Operations Engineer develops robust molding processes and corresponding documentation for the manufacturing of plastic components. Job Responsibilities Supervise compliance with operations in the plastic injection molding area and respective transfers. Provide support to the technical team for solving molding process problems (troubleshooting). Develop work instructions, operations, reworks, sorting, deviations, etc., all related to molding. Define the layout and arrangement of molding equipment area. Collaborate and coordinate with Design Engineering for any new process or product. Participate in customer complaint analysis teams to develop 8Ds for molding. Supervise the operation of the grinder room regarding the use and disposal of regrind. Participate in the launch or transfer of molding manufacturing products and processes. Manage projects aimed at reducing costs, waste, scrap, defects, etc., in molding. Develop projects for cost-saving optimization and continuous improvement in the molding area. Coordinate the validation process of new models through scientific molding analysis. Coordinate with Quality Engineering to evaluate discrepant molding materials. Quote and purchase spare parts and manufacturing materials for molds, presses, and peripheral equipment. Develop and document failure mode analyses. Quote and purchase tools for molding technicians. Contribute to developing standardized work for key process operations. Keep standardized work up to date and report and take action to resolve non-compliance. Execute assigned P3 improvement projects on time and as scheduled. Education Level: Engineering degree Knowledge of molds and plastic injection processes Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Minitab, and Vision software Strong communication and expression skills to effectively interact with customers, suppliers, or corporate personnel.
