VARFRA ENGINEERING AND VARFRA BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING are seeking a Hardware and Server Maintenance and Cybersecurity Engineer. Job Objective Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, security, and availability of the company's technological infrastructure—including hardware, servers, networks, and cybersecurity controls—thereby guaranteeing operational continuity and information protection. Main Responsibilities · Preventive and corrective maintenance of computing equipment, physical and virtual servers. Installation, configuration, and administration of servers (Windows Server and/or Linux). Administration of virtualization environments (VMware, Proxmox, Hyper-V or others). Monitoring server and hardware performance, availability, and capacity. Management of backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. Implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls. Administration of firewalls, antivirus, EDR/XDR, and other protection solutions. Access, user, security policy, and compliance management. Analysis and response to information security incidents. Technical documentation of infrastructure and procedures. Second- and third-level technical support. Coordination with hardware, software, and technology service providers. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree in Computer Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in hardware maintenance and server administration. Proven experience in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure protection. Technical Knowledge Server hardware (diagnostics, component replacement, RAID, storage). Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, firewall, switching, and routing. Information security: hardening, patch management, access control. Data backup and recovery. Security standards and best practices (ISO 27001, NIST desirable).
