You choose your professional path, and we accompany you at every stage to build a unique career trajectory. **We are currently seeking a Database Architect (PostgreSQL / GCP) – Financial Sector** **We are looking for a Database Architect/Team Lead to join a high-transaction, mission-critical project in the financial sector.** **Qualifications** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or Engineering in Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. * **Experience:** Minimum 4 years focused on database architecture and leadership—preferred. **Key technical knowledge and responsibilities:** **Technical Skills:** * **PostgreSQL (Mandatory):** Advanced proficiency in SQL (JOINs, CTEs, Window Functions). * **PL/pgSQL:** Solid experience developing and tuning **Stored Procedures**, functions, and triggers. * **Cloud:** Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP); familiarity with **AlloyDB** is desirable. * **Database Fundamentals:** Relational data modeling, index management, and query optimization. * **Business Domain Knowledge:** Understanding of financial concepts (accounts, contracts, transactions). **Key Competencies:** * PostgreSQL expert Performance and troubleshooting: In-depth analysis of locks, deadlocks, bloat, and pg\_stat\_\* metrics, with optimization based on EXPLAIN / EXPLAIN ANALYZE. * Transactional architecture * Data modeling * AlloyDB / GCP * Data governance and quality * Financial domain expertise: Understanding of banking/fintech processes (customers, accounts, transactions, balances, reconciliations) and their implementation in data models. * PostgreSQL / AlloyDB: Advanced PL/pgSQL, Stored Procedures, functions, triggers, and robust transaction handling. * Advanced SQL * Concurrency and performance: Lock management, isolation levels, tuning, and enforcement of transactional SLAs. * GCP / Security: Operating AlloyDB on GCP—including private networks, IAM, high availability, and backups. * Automation and control: Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / Cloud Build / GitHub Actions). **Responsibilities:** * Design database architecture for critical financial systems, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with business domain requirements. * Define models, schemas, and structures balancing normalization, performance, and maintainability. * Establish development guidelines—including naming conventions, PL/pgSQL patterns, error handling, auditing, and versioning. * Design and implement Stored Procedures, functions, triggers, and views to enforce business rules and transactional workflows. * Define and implement indexing strategies, partitioning, tuning, and execution plan analysis. * Ensure proper transaction handling, isolation levels, locking mechanisms, and operational SLAs. * Design database operations considering connectivity, access control, high availability, and business continuity. * Guarantee idempotency, traceability, auditability, and data quality across transactional workflows. **Location** * **Workplace:** Montes Urales, CDMX (Hybrid model). * **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM. **Compensation and Benefits:** * **Monthly Salary:** MXN $50,000 net * Statutory benefits * 3-month contract with potential extension * Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies (Cloud/AlloyDB).
