WHAT requirements we seek: * **Requirements (Mandatory)** * 4–5 years of experience in data engineering. * Solid and demonstrable expertise in dbt (data build tool) ***(mandatory).*** * Experience with cloud-based data solutions (preferably AWS). * Experience in data platform migration or modernization. * Advanced proficiency in SQL. **Experience working with:** * Amazon Redshift * Amazon Aurora * Amazon QuickSight * Python development experience for data automation and processing. * ETL/ELT process experience with an ELT focus (dbt). * Key technical knowledge * Analytical data modeling (star schema, data marts) implemented in dbt * Dependency management, testing, and documentation in dbt * Cloud-based data engineering (AWS) * Data migration and platform modernization * Big Data architectures and distributed processing * Streaming data processing (desirable) * DevSecOps practices applied to data pipelines **Desirable** * Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions, or others) integrated with dbt. * Knowledge of AWS cost and performance optimization. * Experience in data governance and data quality. * Experience integrating with BI or advanced analytics tools. * Competencies * Analytical thinking and orientation toward technical efficiency. * Ability to structure scalable and maintainable data models. * Focus on data quality, traceability, and governance. * Effective collaboration with engineering and business teams. **Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain data models using dbt (data build tool) as the primary transformation (ELT) tool. * Develop and optimize cloud-based data pipelines, integrating transformation, testing, and documentation processes with dbt. * Participate in data migration and platform modernization initiatives toward the cloud. * Implement testing, documentation, and version control for data models within the dbt framework. * Analyze and document data lineage leveraging dbt’s native capabilities and complementary tools. * Develop advanced SQL queries focused on analytics and performance optimization. * Collaborate on dashboard and reporting development in Amazon QuickSight, ensuring consistency with models defined in dbt. * Monitor and optimize the performance of transformations, data loads, and data models. * Document processes, workflows, and models to ensure traceability and maintainability. * Apply security, quality, and automation best practices guided by DevSecOps principles. **WHY choose SNGULAR:** Do you love learning?
