**Financial Planning Intern**
At Podemos Progresar, we are seeking a **Financial Planning Intern** with a strong interest in financial analysis, information organization, and process improvement—someone eager to grow within the financial sector and contribute to expanding access to financing for women entrepreneurs in Mexico.
Position Objective
Strengthen the financial structure by supporting portfolio management and report automation, applying and developing continuous learning to drive operational efficiency and support the expansion of financing for women entrepreneurs in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the selection and validation of loans according to funders’ eligibility criteria.
* Perform data entry into the core system and prepare tracking files.
* Support the collection and organization of information for indicator reports and compliance notifications required by institutional funds.
* Participate in the development and improvement of Excel templates and simple visualization tools to optimize operational processes.
* Assist in reviewing, cleaning, and controlling financial data to ensure portfolio information quality and consistency.
* Support the preparation of executive presentations and basic financial analyses for the Financial Planning department.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or engineering program in the final semesters or recent graduates
* Specialization in Finance, Accounting, or related fields
* Excel certification (intermediate or advanced)
* Intermediate English (B2)
Required Knowledge
* Intermediate\-advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and basic macro concepts)
* Fundamentals of finance and accounting
* Understanding of financial statements (P\&L, Balance Sheet)
* Cash flow, interest rates, and credit concepts
* Technical English for reading financial documentation
Desirable
* Basic knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio
* Basic familiarity with Python, R, or SQL
* Interest in automation and large-scale data analysis
**Experience**
No prior work experience required.
Academic experience, social service, or professional internships in financial analysis, database management, information control, or process improvement will be valued.
