We invite you to learn more about us, our operations, and our exciting plans for the future. **Requirements:** * Education: Mining Engineer or related field. * Valid driver’s license: Demonstrable experience driving light vehicles underground. * Knowledge of and ability to interpret topographic maps. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Minimum 5 years’ demonstrable experience in mining production with mine equipment. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role. * Knowledge of mining systems (Cut-and-Fill, Cemented Backfill) – Long Hole (desirable). * Knowledge of safe use and handling of explosives. * Supervision and leadership of large teams (minimum 15 people) – demonstrable. * Alignment with safety systems and procedures. * Sense of urgency, self-motivated, proactive, and disciplined. Results-oriented. **Responsibilities:** Shift administration and management Shift start-up and task assignment to Team Members 1. Meets with the outgoing Supervisor to review shift status, covering topics such as safety matters, Work Orders, mining cycle status, equipment, personnel, materials, etc., ensuring appropriate questions are asked and information shared to enable a high-quality shift handover. 2. Leads the Shift Supervisors’ Meeting to ensure effective coordination of work with other areas and Contractor Supervisors for the shift, regarding safety, cycle interferences, and operational tasks. 3. Reviews adherence to the Daily/Weekly Mine Plan, ensuring priorities identified in the Mine Plan are communicated and understood by Team Members. 4. Collects Work Orders and verifies availability of all required resources—such as equipment, tools, and areas—for the shift. 5. Meets with Team Members, shares a Safety Concept, assigns Work Orders for the shift, clarifies tasks, and coordinates with Team Members and third parties as necessary. **Shift closure, reporting, and handover.** 6. Uses the board card review process to verify that all Team Members have exited the mine by the end of the shift—or prior to initiation of blasting operations. 7. Collects Work Orders from Team Members. 8. Reviews Work Order status with the General Supervisor/Superintendent. 9. Completes Work Orders in the ERP system and forwards them to the Planning team. 10. Completes the Shift Report, entering results (KPIs). 11. Meets with the incoming Supervisor to review shift status—including safety matters, Work Orders, mining cycle status, equipment, personnel, materials, etc.—ensuring appropriate questions are asked and information shared to achieve a satisfactory shift handover. **Mine Development Activities** 12. Approves Level 4 Work Permits and/or Work Plans (related to non-standard tasks) as required during the shift. 13. Performs required administrative tasks, such as Safety Reports, Material Reservations, Discipline Register, Attendance, etc. 14. Verifies/Supervises execution of Work Orders and responds to any ad-hoc or urgent work requests, including:* Ensuring compliance with the Mine Development Plan. * Guaranteeing adherence to all QA/QC standards, including ground levels or gradients, oversize, drill pattern templates, and cross-section design. * Ensuring proper use of the mobile fleet: Jumbo, Bolter, service equipment, etc. * Following all standard operating procedures and QA/QC standards during drilling, blasting, bolting, and ground support cycles. * Recording all data generated from the mining cycle and any relevant shift information. * Confirming that all mine services are correctly installed, functioning per design, and placed where required—including water, air, ventilation, and electricity. * Ensuring dewatering processes operate according to design. 15. Approves Work Orders, as required, within 24 hours of the initial work request. 16. Provides real-time information via appropriate workplace technology, as specified throughout the shift. 17. Performs unplanned tasks as needed. **Team Leadership and Management** 18. Interviews candidates as needed. 19. When required, coaches/trains Team Members on correct Work Order execution during the shift. 20. Coaches Team Members on behaviors requiring correction as identified, and initiates timely activation of the Discipline System, as needed. 21. Evaluates Team Member performance and provides recommendations to the Team Leader regarding compensation adjustments, development opportunities, and promotions. 22. Responds effectively to any issues affecting planned work, e.g.: * Safety incidents * Absenteeism * Service shortages * Material shortages * Geotechnical issues * Dewatering problems * Ground support issues * Blasting issues * Mobile equipment downtime 23. Communicates and coordinates continuously with other Mine Supervisors to advance the mining cycle: * Operations Supervisors * Maintenance Supervisors * Warehouse Supervisor * Safety Supervisor * Environmental Supervisor * Contractor Supervisors **Systems, Safety, Health, and Environment** 24. Performs required Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) tasks during the shift. 25. Immediately reports any issues or anomalies identified during the shift to the appropriate Area/Department Leader, confirming a mitigation plan is underway and escalating if necessary should the issue remain unresolved during the shift. 26. Ensures each Team Member:* Complies with all health and safety rules. * Uses appropriate PPE required for underground work and specific tasks. * Maintains a clean work area and participates in cleanup campaigns as required. * Follows all operational procedures and permits applicable to their position and specific task. * Operates all equipment within specified design parameters. 27. Reports any incidents occurring during the shift in the Incident Notification System. 28.
