Summary: This program offers hands-on, career-specific experience in high voltage battery development and validation within Ford of Mexico, collaborating with global teams. Highlights: 1. Hands-on experience in the rapidly growing EV industry 2. Mentorship from senior Design & Release and Systems Engineers 3. Exposure to the full product lifecycle, from design to mass production The **Ford Champs Program** provides students with hands\-on, career\-specific experience inside Ford of Mexico. **Ford Champs** looks forward to providing you with key knowledge and significant experiences for your professional career. This is a great platform to connect with leadership, collaborate with professionals in many areas of the business and learn more about our Ford full time opportunities. Throughout this program, there are many opportunities to gain insight and exposure to our business that will last a lifetime. **Ford Champs** will allow to get to now different business areas through 12 months, while you improve your skills and become a better professional. As an **High Voltage Battery** **Ford Champs** **,** you will be responsible for leading the development and validation of interior components through advanced computer\-aided engineering. Your role involves collaborating with design and release engineers, as well as global stakeholders, to ensure structural integrity and performance. You will be expected to drive technical solutions and manage complex simulation projects from model build\-up to final validation. **What you´ll do:** Education: Final\-year Engineering student or recent graduate (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or related). Language: Strong English skills (you will be working with global teams). Technical Basics: Ability to read technical drawings and a basic understanding of CAD software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data tracking). EV Passion: A basic understanding of how Hybrid and Electric vehicle systems work. Soft Skills: A proactive "can\-do" attitude and great organizational skills. Comfortable speaking and presenting in virtual meetings. Effective time management to handle multiple tasks. Why Join Us? Gain hands\-on experience in the rapidly growing EV industry. Mentorship from senior Design \& Release (D\&R) and Systems Engineers. Exposure to the full product lifecycle, from initial design to mass production. **What you´ll do:** Your responsibilities are divided into three main areas: **1\. Data \& Technical Management** Part Tracking: Manage the "technical DNA" of the battery by tracking part numbers and updates through our internal engineering systems (WERS). Bill of Materials (BoM): Audit and update the master list of components to ensure every battery is built with the correct, most up\-to\-date parts. Complexity Mapping: Create charts that show the different variations of batteries across various vehicle models. **2\. Quality \& Problem Solving** Warranty Analysis: Help investigate real\-world battery issues to find "root causes" and suggest ways to make our batteries more reliable. Issue Resolution: Assist the team in solving engineering challenges during the manufacturing process. Cost Improvement: Participate in "Total Value Management" (TVM) by finding ways to reduce costs without sacrificing quality. **3\. Testing \& Validation** Testing Support: Help identify the specific durability and functional tests required to ensure the battery is safe and performs well in all conditions. Reviews: Participate in both virtual (CAD) and physical "tear\-down" reviews of battery hardware to identify areas for improvement.
