Review employee shift logs and daily memo books and document pertinent information in records. Contact appropriate person or department (e.g., Bell Staff, Housekeeping Department), as needed, to resolve guest calls, requests, or issues. Process all guest registration records by confirming reservations in the computer system, verifying guest identification, requesting a form of payment, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys. Sell a room or accommodation to walk-in guests according to availability. Ensure rates comply with market standards and that all exceptions are documented. Ensure charges from various point-of-sale locations (e.g., fitness center, retail store) are scanned and posted to the room account. Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, and serve as an example and first point of contact for the "Fair Treatment Assurance and Open Door Policy" process. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; conduct safety training and obtain safety certifications. Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address their service needs; thank them with genuine appreciation; assist people with disabilities. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using proper etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time or throughout the work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. DESIRED SKILLS Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification from a General Educational Development (GED) program. Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
