Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective procurement of foodstuffs, supplies, and materials required for shrimp-fishing vessel operations, coordinating logistics and inventory control. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages the complete supply chain for fishing vessels. 2. Coordinates with captains, mechanics, and operations teams to address requirements. 3. Negotiates with suppliers and oversees inventory and logistics. Ensure **timely, efficient, and cost-effective** provisioning of foodstuffs, supplies, spare parts, and materials necessary for shrimp-fishing vessel operations, guaranteeing that each vessel departs fully provisioned according to operational requirements and trip duration. * Prepare **vessel-specific provisioning lists**, based on trip duration and crew size. * Coordinate with **captains, mechanics, and operations teams** regarding supply needs prior to each departure. * Schedule purchases according to the **departure calendar**. Procurement * Obtain quotations and negotiate with suppliers of: * Foodstuffs * Potable water * Ice * Fuels and lubricants * Fishing supplies * Mechanical spare parts * Safety equipment * Select suppliers based on **price, quality, availability, and delivery time**. * Prepare and track **purchase orders**. Inventory Control * Supervise inventory of: * Foodstuffs * Tools * Spare parts * Operational supplies * Prevent critical shortages before vessel departures. * Coordinate warehouse inbound and outbound activities. Logistics Coordination * Organize **provision delivery to the dock or vessel**. * Supervise **loading of supplies onto the vessel**. * Verify that the vessel departs with a **complete provisioning checklist**. Administrative Control * Maintain records of: * Provisioning costs per vessel * Consumption per trip * Supplier invoices * Submit provisioning expense reports.
