




Ensure that the assigned vessels are in safe, efficient operating condition and meet the necessary maintenance and repair standards for shrimp fishing operations, minimizing downtime, unnecessary costs, and ensuring fleet productivity. * Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance programs for assigned vessels: structures, hull, painting, sandblasting, welding, mechanical, electrical, and navigation systems. * Schedule and control repair workflows to ensure vessels return to service as soon as possible, optimizing downtime. * Establish maintenance priorities, manage work orders, coordinate with workshops (internal or external), and allocate resources (labor, materials, spare parts). * Regularly inspect vessels during port stays to identify maintenance needs and ensure work is properly carried out. * Monitor maintenance costs, prepare progress reports, track budgets, analyze variances, and propose efficiency improvements. * Ensure repairs comply with maritime, safety, fishing, environmental regulations, and internal company standards. * Manage inventory of key spare parts and repair materials (welding supplies, abrasives, paints, consumables, etc.). * Coordinate with fleet operations to determine which units can enter port for maintenance, minimizing impact on production. * Propose improvements in maintenance processes, optimize workflow, reduce waiting times, and develop performance indicators (e.g., maintenance compliance rate, mean time to repair, repair cost per vessel, etc.).
