Driven by purpose-led people, we help our customers succeed, support our communities, and protect the planet we all share. **Professional Internship Opportunity – Process Engineering Intern** The primary objective of this department is to design, optimize, control, and improve processes that transform raw materials into useful, safe, and cost-effective chemical products. **Core Functions of the Process Engineering Department** * **Chemical process design.** Development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Selection of appropriate technologies and equipment for reactions, separations, mixing, etc. * **Process optimization.** Continuous improvement of energy efficiency, production yield, and cost reduction. Implementation of methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or computer simulations. * **Control and monitoring.** Supervision of critical variables including temperature, pressure, flow rate, and composition. Design of automatic control systems to maintain optimal operating conditions. * **Safety and regulatory compliance.** Chemical risk assessment and safe process design. Ensuring compliance with environmental and industrial safety regulations. * **Process scale-up.** Transition of processes from laboratory or pilot plant scale to full industrial scale. Validation of operational parameters and design of efficient production facilities. * **Technical documentation.** Preparation of operating manuals, emergency procedures, and technical reports. Support to other departments such as quality, maintenance, and production. * **What You’ll Need (Requirements):** · Academic background: **Students pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering** * · Currently enrolled between 5th and 7th semester **(Minimum 1 year remaining until graduation)** * · Availability to undertake internship during morning hours from 8:00 am\- 2:00 pm * · Availability to attend daily at the site located in San Martín de las Flores, Corredor del Salto, * · Mode: On-site * · Intermediate English (preferred) * · AutoCAD proficiency (preferred) * · Proficiency in specialized software such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, MATLAB, or AutoCAD. * · Intermediate Excel knowledge **Your Day-to-Day (Responsibilities):** * · Administrative tasks, generation of productivity and project reports. * · Updating and maintaining process diagrams. * · Calculation of utility consumption. * · Change control. * · Generation of statistical analyses. * · Calculation of OEE and NME (productivity indicators). * · Tracking of operational safety walkthroughs and closure of findings.
