Summary: This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and security while providing advanced technical expertise. Drive automation and optimization initiatives This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, scalability, and security of enterprise systems while providing advanced technical expertise and operational leadership. The Senior Engineer acts as a subject matter expert (SME), handling complex incidents, guiding infrastructure strategy, mentoring junior team members, and driving automation and optimization initiatives. The position plays a critical role in maintaining business continuity and aligning infrastructure services with organizational goals. 1 Infrastructure Monitoring \& Maintenance (On\-site \& Remote) Lead the administration and optimization of servers, storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud environments. Monitor servers, networks, storage, and cloud resources to ensure high availability, perform routine system health checks and performance tuning. Apply patches, updates, and firmware upgrades. Also, manage backups and verify successful completion. Execute disaster recovery tests and restore procedures when required 2 Incident \& Problem Management Ensure infrastructure availability, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring and capacity planning. Respond to infrastructure incidents and service interruptions, troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions. Also, escalate complex issues to vendors or higher support tiers when necessary. Maintain incident records and update ticketing systems. Manage and resolve high\-impact incidents, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures. 3 User \& Application Support (Infrastructure Level) Support server\-related application deployments, manage access permissions (Active Directory, file shares, VPN). Assist with authentication, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity issues. Also, support integration between infrastructure and enterprise systems. 4 User Account Administration Manage the creation, modification, and deactivation of user accounts across key systems (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Email, OA, SANLink, Encryption), ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with access control policies. Additionally, review user permissions on the company's shared folders, establishing a matrix that allows for agile auditing and control. 5 Network Support Collaborate with architecture, security, development, and business teams on infrastructure initiatives. Monitor network performance and bandwidth usage, troubleshoot LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity issues. Support firewall rules, routing, and switching configurations. Also, coordinate with network providers for outage resolution. Participate in strategic planning, technology evaluation, and infrastructure roadmap development. 6 Cloud \& Virtualization Support Manage virtual machines (provisioning, resizing, decommissioning), monitor cloud resources and optimize usage. Also, support hybrid infrastructure environments. Ensure proper backup and replication in cloud platforms. 7 Security \& Compliance Support Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Implement security patches and vulnerability remediation, monitor system logs and security alerts. Also, Support audits and compliance requirements. Manage endpoint protection and server hardening tasks. 8 Change \& Configuration Management Participate in change planning and execution. Document system configurations and infrastructure diagrams. Also, maintain asset inventory and configuration management database (CMDB). 9 IT Project Basic Coordination Manage and support sporadic or short\-term IT projects, including system upgrades, equipment rollouts, migrations, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and minimal operational disruption. 10 Vendor \& Hardware Support Coordinate with hardware/software vendors for support cases. Replace faulty hardware components. Also, manage warranties and support contracts. Job Type: Full\-time Pay: From $20,000\.00 per month Work Location: In person
