DESCRIPTION **At GP Construcción**, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as **Pavement Resident for Highway Infrastructure Projects**. ### **About the Position:** The Pavement Resident is responsible for supervising and managing all aspects related to the execution of pavement projects, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role is critical to the success of our infrastructure projects, guaranteeing the durability and functionality of pavement surfaces. ### **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise the execution of pavement works for highways and bypasses, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and established deadlines. * Manage and coordinate the work of subcontractors and construction teams to optimize performance and productivity. * Implement and supervise rigorous material controls used in paving, ensuring their quality and conformity with standards. * Plan, schedule, and direct daily site activities, allocating resources effectively. * Conduct and supervise concrete and other material tests, as well as compaction and leveling tests. * Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations throughout all project phases. * Monitor physical and financial project progress, identifying and mitigating risks. * Prepare technical and progress reports for project management. * Resolve technical and operational issues arising during construction. * Maintain smooth and effective communication with the client, engineering team, and other project stakeholders. ### **Position Requirements:** * Professional degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. * Proven experience of at least 4 years in pavement works, preferably on highways and bypasses. * In-depth knowledge of paving techniques, material control (asphalt, concrete, aggregates), and specialized machinery. * Experience in managing and supervising subcontractors. * Familiarity with construction execution practices and construction methodologies. * Demonstrated ability to conduct and supervise concrete tests and other field tests. * Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Willingness to travel and work at various locations as required by the project. REQUIREMENTS * Minimum 4 years’ experience in highway projects supervising pavement works * Degree in a construction-related discipline
