EARTHWORKS SUPERINTENDENT

DESCRIPTION **GP Construction**, we are the leading company in the construction of industrial and infrastructure projects. We are seeking an **EARTHWORKS SUPERINTENDENT** with at least 10 years of experience in the construction field, including at least the last 3 years serving as a Superintendent. We seek a highly qualified professional with a proven track record in managing and executing highway infrastructure projects. If you are an expert in road and bypass earthworks, with in-depth knowledge of surveying, embankment materials, cost control, and heavy equipment rental, this opportunity is for you. **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise and direct all earthworks-related operations, ensuring compliance with the highest quality and safety standards. * Manage and optimize the use of resources—including personnel, machinery, and materials—to ensure project efficiency and profitability. * Plan, schedule, and control earthworks activities for highways, bypasses, and other infrastructure projects—from conception through to final delivery. * Conduct detailed cost analyses and estimates, as well as budget management and identification of opportunities for cost reduction. * Supervise topographic and geotechnical studies, ensuring data accuracy and proper interpretation for design and execution of works. * Select and manage suppliers of embankment materials and heavy machinery, negotiating optimal rental and procurement terms. * Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations throughout all project phases, promoting a culture of prevention and protection. * Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary work teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. * Maintain smooth and effective communication with clients, supervisors, contractors, and other stakeholders, delivering periodic reports on project progress and status. Proactively resolve technical and operational challenges arising during construction execution. * **Requirements:** * Over 10 years of verifiable experience supervising large-scale earthworks projects, specifically for highways and bypasses. * Solid expertise in surveying, soil mechanics, subgrade design, and material compaction. * Demonstrated experience in construction project cost management, budgeting, and financial control. * Expert knowledge of heavy equipment rental and operation (excavators, motor graders, compactors, etc.). * Proven ability to lead and motivate work teams. * Demonstrated capability in strategic decision-making and resolution of complex problems. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. * Willingness and ability to travel and work across various geographic locations. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. * REQUIREMENTS * Licensed Civil Engineer or Architect * Verifiable experience as Superintendent for at least the last 3 years on highway or bypass earthworks projects
