**Job Description** A development company is seeking a **Project General Accountant** to oversee the accounting, tax, and administrative management of one or more ongoing projects. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax obligations, budgetary control, accurate consolidation of financial information, and providing administrative support to project management. **Key Responsibilities** * Record and monitor project accounting transactions in accordance with the **Financial Information Standards (NIF)**. * Prepare **monthly financial statements** and economic progress reports for the project. * Calculate and file **federal and state taxes** (Income Tax [ISR], Value Added Tax [IVA], State Income Tax [ISN], Mexican Social Security Institute [IMSS], National Workers’ Housing Fund Institute [INFONAVIT], Unified Payroll System [SUA], Integrated System for Social Security Contributions [IDSE]). * Manage **accounts payable and accounts receivable**, bank reconciliations, and cash flow. * Administer **payroll** and related filings with IMSS, INFONAVIT, and the Tax Administration Service (SAT). * Prepare financial information for internal and external audits. * Coordinate compliance with the project’s **administrative and tax procedures**. * Support the **budget preparation process** and variance analysis. * Supervise and coordinate project administrative staff. * Maintain continuous communication with construction, procurement, and finance departments. **Requirements** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting (degree certificate and professional license required). * **Preferred:** Master’s degree in Tax Analysis or related field. * **Minimum experience:** 4–6 years as a **Project General Accountant or Project Accounting Manager**, preferably in construction companies, real estate development firms, or condominium management firms. * **Knowledge of:** * Financial Information Standards (NIF). * Federal and state taxation. * IMSS, IDSE, SUA, INFONAVIT, and SAT online portals. * Accounting software **Contpaqi**, payroll software **Nomipaq**, and online banking platforms. * Budget and cost control. * Personnel and vendor administration. Requirements: * Financial planning and control. * Analytical ability and attention to detail. * Organizational skills and adherence to tax deadlines. * Leadership and teamwork. * Effective communication and results orientation.
