Process all types of payments including room charges, cash, checks, debit or credit card transactions. Process all guest check-outs, including disputed charges or those incurred when checking out outside regular hours. Answer, record, and process all calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns from guests. Coordinate with the Housekeeping Department to ensure rooms are ready and in excellent condition for guest arrival. Inform guests and visitors of parking procedures and dispatch bell staff or service personnel as needed. Provide directions and information to guests about the hotel and local areas of interest. Prepare daily reports (number of arrivals and departures), identify special requests, and review reports for accuracy. Complete cashier designated reports and closing reports in the computer system. Cash personal checks and traveler's checks for guests. Count cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and turn in receipts according to Accounting specifications. Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures, and report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management. Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address their service needs; thank them with genuine appreciation; assist people with disabilities. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using proper etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Meet quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. DESIRABLE SKILLS Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification from a General Educational Development (GED) program.
