Description

We are seeking an **Operations Manager** with a strong sense of urgency, firm leadership, and an obsessive focus on efficiency and safety. Your primary mission will be to lead, coordinate, and supervise the daily execution of transportation services, ensuring profitability, vehicle performance, and the well-being of the driver team. ***Key Responsibilities:*** **Route Management and Optimization:** Design, supervise, and adjust transportation routes to ensure on-time service delivery, minimize idle time, and optimize fuel consumption. **Fleet Control and Maintenance:** Coordinate with the workshop department on preventive and corrective maintenance programs for vehicles to maximize fleet availability and reduce accidents. **Operational Staff Leadership:** Directly supervise Operations Supervisors. Collaborate with Human Resources to implement strategies that reduce turnover and improve workplace climate. **Monitoring and Safety (GPS):** Ensure compliance with road and asset security protocols. Supervise 24/7 vehicle monitoring and immediate response to incidents or contingencies en route. **Operational KPI Analysis:** Monitor and report key business metrics: fuel efficiency (km/L), on-time delivery rate, accident frequency index, and cost per kilometer. **Customer Service and Relationship Management:** Maintain direct communication with key clients in the sector (e.g., automotive, manufacturing industries) to ensure adherence to agreed service-level commitments. ***Required Profile:*** **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or Engineer in Logistics, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, or related field (completed). **Experience:** Minimum 5 years in operational management roles, **mandatory experience within the transportation or logistics sector.** **Technical Knowledge:** * Advanced proficiency in GPS tracking platforms and transportation management software. * Solid understanding of SCT (SCT / SICT) regulations, weight and dimension limits, and driver hours-of-service logs. * Experience managing operational budgets and monitoring fuel efficiency. * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas). **Soft Skills:** Field-based and developmental leadership, excellent crisis management, assertive communication, negotiation ability, and results-oriented mindset under pressure.
