Our people make us who we are, and we create incredible products and experiences that empower us to THINK OUTSIDE.****Position Summary** The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, consistency, and compliance of Polaris’ manufacturing processes and Off‑Road Vehicles. This role develops and applies quality control methods, leads inspections and audits, and partners closely with cross‑functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and correct issues at the source. The Quality Engineer drives continuous improvement, leads structured problem‑solving activities, and strengthens process stability to support operational excellence across the organization.**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience working with OEM or Tier 1 automotive customers. * Familiarity with welding, plastics, machining, stamping, or assembly processes. * Knowledge of GD\&T and strong blueprint‑reading skills. * ASQ Certification or similar professional credential. **Required Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and root cause analysis methods. In‑depth understanding of basic automotive systems and quality control processes. * Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, quality software tools, and English (spoken and written). * Familiarity with industry standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 * Problem\-solving mindset **Position Overview** The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing quality control processes to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes managing core quality tools such as DFMEA, FMEA, Control Plans, KPCs, and process specifications, while also supporting standardization of quality gates. In this role, the Quality Engineer conducts audits, analyzes data, and collaborates with production and engineering teams to contain issues, resolve non‑conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5‑Why, and Fishbone analysis. The position supports continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework, while applying Lean and Six Sigma practices to improve process capability and efficiency. The Quality Engineer also plays a key role in regulatory compliance by maintaining documentation, supporting PDP pilot builds, and assisting with audits related to quality systems. Cross‑functional collaboration is essential, as this role works directly with engineering, production, supply chain, and customer‑facing teams to resolve quality concerns and communicate risks backed by clear data. This position tracks and reports key performance indicators such as Clean Build, RFPY, Warranty performance, Product Audit results, and Scrap trends. The Quality Engineer performs basic trend analysis, recommends actions based on data, and verifies the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
