Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor At Wärtsilä, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Monterrey plant in Mexico. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring achievement of plant performance targets, and training new workers on maintenance procedures and standards. If you have experience supervising maintenance teams and a solid understanding of safety and quality procedures, we invite you to apply and become part of our dynamic and collaborative work environment. **Location:** Monterrey, Mexico **Key Responsibilities:** * Coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned equipment. * Ensure plant performance targets are met per contract within your area of responsibility. * Train new workers on maintenance procedures and standards. * Monitor the status of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools, and ensure they are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies, taking corrective actions when necessary. * Ensure work is carried out at the plant in accordance with Wärtsilä’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) guidelines and the customer’s site procedures, as well as the assigned maintenance plan. * Inspect completed work to ensure repairs have been correctly performed and that machinery and equipment comply with specifications and safety standards. * Train and advise maintenance personnel and assist them in diagnosing more complex machinery or equipment issues. * Develop plant maintenance work routines. * Prioritize and assign tasks so that resources of the assigned team are used effectively and work schedules and objectives are met. **Requirements:** * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in industrial plants. * Previous experience supervising maintenance teams. * In-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety standards. * Leadership skills and ability to train and motivate a team. * Ability to diagnose and resolve complex machinery and equipment problems. * Excellent communication and organizational skills. * Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) guidelines. * Availability to work flexible hours and under pressure.
