Knowledge of new product launches, engineering changes, Core Tools, PPAP, APQP, drawing interpretation, and supplier management.**Job Description:** The primary responsibilities of the Quality Engineer for our plant in Silao, Guanajuato, Mexico will be: * Reduction of customer complaints, achievement of line performance indicators under responsibility, and reduction of SCRAP. * Prevention of nonconformities during external audits. * Development of Shainin projects and cost savings. * Handling of complaints from external and internal customers. * Follow-up on warranty reports. * Attendance at meetings and follow-up on GMPs. * Reporting of problem resolutions with customers (CARs). * Improvement ideas to reduce customer-related reports. * Quality system improvement projects on production lines. * All other assigned tasks. **Required Skills and Education** * Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 2 years of experience performing this role in the automotive industry. * Knowledge of quality systems and development of Shainin projects and cost savings. * Experience in handling and applying Core Tools, drawing interpretation, tracking corrective actions, and IATF Internal Auditor certification (desirable). * Experience with required systems: Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, Power BI. * Experience applying problem-solving methodologies (5 Why, 8D, QRQC 5W\+2H). * Experience conducting external audits (IATF / Q4\). * Intermediate English (conversational). **About AAM:** As a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, AAM designs, engineers and manufactures Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles.
