Supervision of accounting entries and monthly financial closing **People And Growth is looking for a General Accountant in León, Guanajuato** ---------------------------------------------------------------- **General Accountant** We are seeking a General Accountant for one of our clients. **Main Responsibilities** * Analyze and control tax expenditure flows, preparing working papers and corresponding reconciliations. * Determine and accrue federal and state taxes (Income Tax, VAT, Payroll Tax). * Record and monitor employer contributions, payroll, depreciation, and amortization. * Supervise the accuracy of accounting entries performed by the accounting team in the system. * Reconcile fixed assets, operating costs, and expenses against the accounting system. * Analyze system costs, preparing income statements and unit-based reports. * Reconcile travel expenses, tolls, consumables, and expense settlements according to established rate tables. * Administer operator settlements and coordinate reimbursements with Treasury. * Execute monthly financial closing, ensuring complete and timely financial information. * Maintain physical and digital accounting records properly organized. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting * 5–7 years of experience in general accounting * Solid knowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) and current tax regulations. * Tax calculation and review * Cost analysis and determination * Proficiency in accounting systems (A3 or similar) and intermediate-to-advanced Excel. * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. * Functional leadership: ability to influence others * Teamwork and collaboration with operational areas and Treasury. * Flexibility and openness to change * Organization, discipline, and results orientation. **Additional Information** * Reference salary: MXN 30,000 gross.
