Focus on improving equipment performance and reliability **Org Marketing Statement** **Position Summary** A Maintenance Engineer supervises and manages the Technical Personnel under his/her charge to comply with the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance program in the plan, controls the cost of repairs and productivity of his subordinates. Likewise, controls the maintenance of the plant facilities. This position has indirect reports and will have to lead and mentor co\-workers and less experienced team members. Strong creativity and wide knowledge of best practices in the industries is required. **Responsibilities** * Comply with standards, procedures, and controls that guarantee the safety of personnel, equipment, and plant facilities. * Ensure the proper functioning of manufacturing equipment. * Define strategies and actions to reduce downtime. * Define, plan, and perform critical or major maintenance on equipment. * Establish and improve preventive maintenance systems and activities. * Define strategies, actions, or plans to reduce maintenance costs. * Establish and manage training programs for assigned personnel. * Define, control, and manage the work tools of technicians and assigned areas. * Manage assigned personnel, including shift control, attendance, vacations, etc. * Improve quality indicators through enhanced equipment performance. * Maintain documentation and control of files and records for: PMs, equipment work orders, Quality Documents * Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of the company * Visit customer site to install and test equipment for proper functioning. * Perform equipment upgrades as per customer requirements. * Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability. * Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment failures. * Design, quote, and create equipment for Maintenance Processes * Prepares documentation for new Maintenance Processes * Assist with Kaizen activities and Engineering projects. * Evaluate part drawings (Electrical, Pneumatic, Etc.) for Maintenance. * Provide training for on new equipment operations * Perform I/O check out, start\-up, and commissioning **Qualifications** **Qualifications** * University degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering, with a minimum of one year of experience in a similar position. * In the case of internal promotion, work experience may substitute for the required level of education. * English proficiency preferred, Ability to communicate ideas and needs communicate verbally, and present information in written form.
