




Job Summary: Manages human and material resources of the engineering department to ensure availability, maintenance, and quality of equipment and systems, guaranteeing operational excellence of the hotel. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leads and manages the hotel’s engineering department. 2. Ensures the availability and maintenance of equipment and systems. 3. Guarantees service quality and property assets. Summary Manages the engineering department’s human and material resources to ensure availability, presentation, and proper maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, control systems, and hotel guestrooms, ensuring service quality and availability of all property assets. Qualifications **Education** * University degree in: + Mechanical Engineering + Electrical Engineering + Industrial Engineering + Electromechanical Engineering + Or related field * Master’s degree in Administration, Project Management, or Engineering is desirable. **Experience** * Minimum **6 years of experience in the hospitality industry**, in Engineering and Maintenance departments. * Proven experience supervising technical teams. * Experience operating full-service hotels. * Development of predictive maintenance programs for guestrooms, consumption centers, general operational areas, and electromechanical equipment. * Budget management, expense control, and maintenance planning. * Experience managing unionized personnel. **Languages** * Intermediate–advanced English (80%) – capable of conducting technical conversations and preparing reports. **Availability** * Full schedule availability. * Ability to respond promptly to operational emergencies. **Technical Knowledge** * Solid knowledge of: + HVAC + Electricity + Plumbing + Electromechanical Systems + Building Management Systems (BMS) * Fire protection systems * Regulatory standards: + NOM + STPS + ASHRAE + OSHA + NFPA * Occupational Safety and Health * Environmental certifications (experience with Green Key or similar programs is desirable) * Preventive and corrective maintenance * Vendor and contractor management * Performance indicator (KPI) management **Tools and Software** * Office * Excel (intermediate–advanced level) * Word * AutoCAD * Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is desirable **Competencies and Skills** * Service-oriented attitude * Leadership and teamwork * Planning and organization * Decision-making * Results orientation * Effective communication
