




The **Software Engineering Team Lead** will be a technical specialist, leader, and mentor within the embedded software discipline, while also serving as a cross\-discipline leader for product development. This individual will lead a product development team and be responsible for driving and shaping the culture within that team. The role involves designing and developing embedded software for products across a wide range of industries , managing project success, and leading local continuous improvement activities. **Key Job Accountabilities:** * Serve as a technical specialist, leader, and mentor within the embedded software discipline. * Lead local continuous improvement activities associated with the engineering discipline and/or project\-level tools or processes. * Ensure the technical success of programs by understanding customer needs, staffing with appropriate resources, and driving continuous improvement of tools and processes. * Exemplify and hold the team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. * Expand and grow technical and leadership competencies by hiring diverse and high potential talent. * Focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential. * Partner with the Site Leadership Team in areas of staffing, training, and development to ensure long\-range goals and objectives are met. * Collaborate with other Design Center leaders globally to effectively and appropriately utilize all resources and provide expected levels of support. **Education/Experience Qualifications** * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required. * Five (5\) or more years of related experience is preferred. * Two (2\) years of Project Management experience is preferred. * Experience with Design patterns and principles is preferred. * Strong understanding and working experience with object\-oriented programming (OOP) is preferred. * Highly proficient in modern C\+\+. * Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and real\-time operating systems (RTOS). * Ability to work cross functionally. *This document does not represent a contract of employment and is not intended to capture every possible assignment the incumbent could be asked to perform.*
