Job Description: Cook B Position: Cook B Department: Kitchen Reports to: Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor Supervises: No direct reports (depending on the company) **Position Objective** * Prepare food following recipes, quality standards, hygiene requirements, and presentation guidelines established by the kitchen department, supporting daily production and ensuring smooth operational functioning. **Functions and Responsibilities** * Prepare assigned dishes according to standardized recipes. * Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation. * Assist in preparing mise en place. * Ensure proper cooking of food (timing, temperatures, and portion sizes). * Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing supplies. * Comply with hygiene and food safety standards (NOM\-251 or company guidelines). * Operate kitchen equipment and utensils correctly. * Minimize waste and report incidents or shortages. * Assist in banquet or event preparations when required. * Follow instructions from Cook A, Sous Chef, or Chef. **Position Requirements** Minimum Education: Completed secondary school (technical gastronomy training preferred). Experience: 1–2 years as a kitchen assistant or Cook C. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, hygienic food handling, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
