Job Summary: This role involves ticket management, technical support, script development, system monitoring, documentation, team meetings, and preventive maintenance. Key Responsibilities: 1. First- and second-level technical support (software, hardware, network). 2. Development, debugging, and testing of internal scripts and automations. 3. Proactive system monitoring and resolution of critical incidents. Ticket Review and Prioritization (Start of Day): Check the ticketing system to identify new incidents and service requests, and verify the status of existing ones. Prioritize based on urgency and impact. Incident Resolution and User Support: Directly handle first- and second-level technical support requests (e.g., software, hardware, network, access issues), including diagnosis and remote or on-site resolution. Development/Debugging/Testing: Work on assigned development tasks: writing, debugging, or testing scripts, automations, or minor functionalities for internal systems. Basic System Monitoring: Review dashboards and alerts from critical systems to proactively identify potential issues (e.g., disk space, failed services, high CPU load). Documentation and Communication: Record ticket resolutions, update technical documentation and/or communicate task status to users or the team. Prepare for the next day. Team Meeting / Scrum: Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, plan tasks, identify blockers, and coordinate development and support efforts. Preventive Maintenance / Minor Updates: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g., log cleanup, minor security patches, optimization of existing scripts). Research and Learning: Dedicate time to researching new technologies, methodologies, or solutions that could improve internal systems and processes. Pending Tasks Review and Planning: Review the development and support backlog, adjust priorities, and plan activities for the upcoming week. Support Metrics Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on ticket volume, response times, and resolution times to identify trends and areas for improvement in support. Project Development / Implementation of Major Improvements: Dedicate focused time to implementing new features or significant improvements in internal systems, which may involve longer development cycles. Meetings with Department Heads / Key Users: Gather feedback from key users or department heads regarding internal tools and future requirements. Security and Permission Review: Audit and update user permissions, review security configurations, and enforce policies. Critical Incident Response: Immediate response to major system failures or disruptions significantly impacting company operations. New Hardware/Software Installation and Configuration: Configure workstations, servers, or deploy new software licenses as needed. User Training on New Tools: Design and deliver training sessions when new tools or significant functionalities are implemented. Participation in Cross-Departmental Projects: Collaborate on projects requiring system integration or technical support from other departments.
