Position Summary: Worley is seeking a construction expert to oversee pharmaceutical/chemical projects, ensure design compliance, and coordinate activities with the management team and contractors. We are bridging two worlds—advancing toward more sustainable energy sources while simultaneously helping provide the energy, chemicals, and resources needed today. **Objective:** Provide on-site construction expertise during project construction phases to interpret designs, adapt designs to site conditions, supervise construction oversight, and issue final approval of completed construction tasks to ensure construction conforms to design specifications. Develop and maintain project-specific construction practices. Control and coordinate construction activities to ensure assigned projects are delivered to client satisfaction and in accordance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget parameters. **Responsibilities:** Work closely with the project management team to ensure project construction work complies with design, specifications, and regulations. Specific Responsibilities: • Execute the field construction inspection group; interface with main contractors and the project management team (client). Supervise subcontractors’ compliance with project construction requirements and industry best practices. Review of change orders. • Lead all inspection activities for construction. • Advanced knowledge and experience in pharmaceutical/chemical industry construction and related facilities. Advanced knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, equipment, and piping works in pharmaceutical/chemical settings. • The Construction Manager reports directly to the Project Manager and works closely with all areas of the project team. • Manage and coordinate construction discrepancies with contractors to achieve the schedule and deliverables for all construction tasks executed within the agreed scope of work and specifications. • Manage and coordinate project construction activities, project control, QA/QC, document control, health, safety, and environment (HSE), and commissioning. • Interface with project engineering and procurement. • Assist in identifying and reviewing scope-of-work variations. • Verify that materials supplied by the client are inspected and received, and report on their usage. • Work closely with the project team and contractors to ensure completion of work in accordance with required design, specifications, and regulations. • Assist in managing interfaces between contractors to minimize delays to the project schedule. • Ensure contractor compliance with QA/QC and HSE policies and procedures. • Strong problem-solving skills to support project progress, analyze and evaluate engineering discrepancies, and implement appropriate resolutions.
