**Job Title:** Welding and Steel Quality Inspector – Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) **Location:** León, Gto. · On-site · Full-time **Job Description:** A leading manufacturer of steel tanks for transformers is seeking a Quality Inspector specialized in welding and non-destructive testing (NDT). The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying the conformity of welding processes, materials, and metal structures, ensuring compliance with national and international standards (ISO, AWS, ASME). **Responsibilities:** * Perform visual inspections and non-destructive tests (VT, PT, MT, UT) on welded components and steel structures. * Validate welding procedures (WPS) and welder qualifications (WPQ). * Document findings, issue technical reports, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs). * Ensure material traceability and compliance with technical specifications. * Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality departments to resolve deviations. * Participate in internal and external audits under ISO 9001:2015. **Requirements:** * Technician or Engineer in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. * Valid NDT certification (minimum Level II in VT and UT; PT and MT desirable). * Minimum 3 years of experience in welding and structural steel inspection. * Knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME, and ISO 17635 standards. * Proficiency in using measurement instruments and testing equipment. * Ability to write technical reports and communicate effectively with customers. **We Offer:** * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. * Statutory benefits. * Continuous training and certifications. * Professional and collaborative work environment. * Growth opportunities in projects with multinational clients.
