Opportunity for continuous learning and technical growth **Junior Software Developer Position** **Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico** **General Job Objective:** Participate in the development, maintenance, and support of the organization’s software applications and components, contributing to the implementation of new features, incident resolution, technical testing, and development documentation. **Reports to IT Management** **Primary Responsibilities** * Participate in the development and maintenance of internal or commercial software applications. * Address incidents, adjustments, and corrections in existing systems. * Support the implementation of new features and technical improvements. * Perform basic testing and functional validations on developed solutions. * Identify technical errors and collaborate on their resolution. * Document developments, changes, configurations, and technical processes. * Use version control tools for code management. * Collaborate with the development team on assigned tasks and area projects. * Adhere to coding standards, documentation practices, and sound development principles. * Timely follow-up on deliverables and activities assigned by the immediate supervisor. * Maintain confidentiality of technical and operational information. * Comply with internal information security policies and technological tool usage guidelines. **Academic Qualifications** * Engineering or Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technologies, or a related field. **Required Experience** * 1–2 years of software development experience. * Relevant experience may include: professional internships, social service, residencies, relevant academic projects, freelance work, or personal projects—provided there is verifiable evidence of actual technical involvement**.** **Essential Technical Knowledge** * Programming logic. * Software development. * Relational databases. * Version control. * Technical documentation. * Basic software testing. * Fundamentals of the software development life cycle. Tools / Technologies * Functional proficiency in at least one of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, PHP, Java, or C\# * Basic to intermediate SQL database skills: MySQL or SQL Server. * Git usage. * Proficiency with IDEs or development editors such as: Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, or similar tools.
