Mechatronics Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain automated systems and industrial equipment in plastic transformation processes, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement.

**Job Objective**
Design, optimize, and maintain automated systems and industrial equipment used in plastic transformation processes (injection, extrusion, blow molding), ensuring operational efficiency, reduction of downtime, and continuous improvement in quality and productivity.
**Main Responsibilities**
* Supervise and optimize **plastic injection, extrusion, and/or blow molding** processes.
* PLC, HMI, and industrial automation system programming and maintenance.
* Implement machinery improvements including:
* Injection molding machines
* Cartesian or 6-axis robots
* Peripheral equipment (chillers, temperature controllers, dryers, grinders).
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and control-related failures.
* Develop automation projects and scrap reduction initiatives.
* Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and apply methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and TPM.
* Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
* Coordinate with machinery and spare parts suppliers.
* Comply with industrial safety and quality standards.
**Required Technical Knowledge:**
* Plastic transformation processes:
* Injection molding
* Extrusion
* Blow molding
* PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron, etc.).
* Pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial electrical systems.
* Interpretation of electrical and mechanical diagrams.
* Automation and control.
* CAD software proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar).
* Knowledge of plastic resins (PP, PE, PET, ABS, etc.).
* Quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949 preferred).
* Experience integrating and configuring industrial vision systems for quality inspection, defect detection, part presence/absence verification, and validation of automated processes.

**Requirements**
* **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering (certified).
* **Experience:** 3–5 years in the plastic industry.
* **Language:** Technical English (preferred).
* Availability to work rotating shifts

Salary: $25,000.00 – $28,000.00 per month
