Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps and/or hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before beginning the service. Stay current with current techniques and modalities related to their field of work. Escort guests to/from treatment rooms. Set up the workstation, treatment room and/or linens. Frequently check with the guest to promote comfort and safety during the service. Promote and sell spa/salon services, including offering retail spa-related products. Clean, maintain and sterilize instruments. Keep the workstation and/or treatment room clean during the shift; dispose of waste and soiled linens; store supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. Monitor and adhere to the scheduled daily timetable. Handle inappropriate guest behavior in accordance with Marriott International’s Standard Operating Procedures for Inappropriate Guest and Therapist Behavior, leading to and including interruption of a treatment or service and reporting to supervisor/manager. Maintain skills and license updated in the service area according to regional requirements. Report accidents, injuries and hazardous working conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications. Comply with all company policies and procedures; ensure that both uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of company-owned information; protect company assets. Welcome and serve all guests in accordance with company standards; anticipate guest service needs and fulfill them; sincerely thank guests. Communicate with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Stand, sit or walk for extended periods; grasp, turn and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights. Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 10 pounds (4.5 kg) or equivalent without assistance. Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring precise motor skills and good hand-eye coordination. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. DESIRABLE SKILLS Education: Diploma issued by a technical, trade or vocational school. Relevant work experience: At least 1 year of relevant work experience. Supervisory experience: Supervisory experience is not required.
