Layout design and workstation organization We require a footwear industry professional focused on optimizing production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity. Responsibilities: * Time each operation in the process (cutting, lasting, stitching, assembly, and finishing). * Determine the standard time for each task. * Identify delays, idle time, or inefficiencies. * Apply techniques such as continuous timing or work sampling. * Distribute operations evenly among workers. * Prevent bottlenecks in work areas. * Propose new ways of performing tasks (e.g., using templates, specialized tools). * Implement lean manufacturing techniques. * Reduce material waste (leather, soles, adhesives). * Layout design (plant layout) * Organize machinery and workstations. * Minimize material movement within the factory. * Support production cost analysis * Determine standard times to calculate labor costs. * Evaluate the impact of process changes.
