Installation and initial configuration of equipment **Technical Support Engineer – Printing and Graphic Arts** *CP Digital Printers* ***León, Gto.*** **Position Summary** * Area: Technical Support / Operations * Work Type: Field \+ Workshop * Focus: Diagnosis, preventive/corrective maintenance, installation, and configuration * Reports to: Technical Support Management **\-\-\- XEROX EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY \-\-\-** **Main Responsibilities** * Diagnosis and resolution of malfunctions (paper jams, print quality issues, recurring errors, paper feeding problems, etc.). * Preventive and corrective maintenance with checklists and evidence (test prints/photos). * Initial equipment installation and configuration, functionality testing, and operational handover. * Root cause identification and recommendations to prevent recurrence (correct consumables and usage habits). * Comprehensive technical documentation: model, serial number, page counter, symptoms, operating conditions, consumables used, and service history. * Service report: diagnosis, actions performed, parts replaced, final status, and recommendations. * Coordination with administration/warehouse for requisition of necessary spare parts and consumables. * Support for exceptional activities in the workshop and office. **Knowledge and Experience** * Prior experience in technical support for printing equipment. * Solid understanding of printing processes and image quality: lines, spots, registration, basic calibration. * Components and consumables: toner, imaging unit/photoreceptor, fuser, rollers, trays, and paper feeding mechanisms. * Best maintenance practices: internal cleaning, inspection, adjustments, print testing, and reporting. * Ability to read and interpret error codes, technical manuals, and service procedures. * Knowledge and proficiency in xerographic processes, bearings, and motors. * Familiarity with Xerox and Fujifilm equipment (desirable) **Desired Technical Skills** * Basic network configuration and troubleshooting: IP, gateway, DHCP/static, drivers. * Scanning to email/folder and common office configurations (basic SMB, credentials, testing). * Use of basic service and measurement tools; orderliness and care during interventions. **Competencies** * Organization and discipline (checklists, evidence, and comprehensive reporting). * Clear communication and professional client interaction. * Technical judgment and focus on equipment safety/maintenance. * Responsibility and punctuality (routes, schedules, and job closures). * Teamwork with coordination, sales, and administration. **Operational Requirements** * Availability for field visits and route-based service. * Valid Class A driver's license. * Use of WhatsApp/email for communication and submission of evidence. * Ability to handle consumables and components (as required by service needs). **BENEFITS** * Competitive salary * Bonus and compensation plan * Company vehicle * Relocation assistance (for out-of-town hires) * Additional benefits Employment Type: Full-time, Indefinite-term Salary: $1\.00 \- $2\.00 per month Benefits: * Option for indefinite-term contract * Company-provided mobile phone Work Location: On-site employment
